Uji is a small city in the southern outskirts of Kyoto, where its most famous for its cultural heritage and of course green tea. 

Of all the green tea produced in Japan, Uji green tea is arguably considered to be the finest. Uji region's high quality soil, optimal terrain and temperatures have all contribute to what many call the most excellent green tea in the world.
